The Dhaka Sanitation Improvement Project (DSIP) aims to enhance access to safely-managed sanitation services within targeted regions of Dhaka. Additionally, it seeks to bolster the operational efficiency of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) in delivering sanitation services.

Total project cost of 5187.89 Crore Tk, with project aid contributing 3740.00 Cr Tk, sourced from organizations such as the International Development Association (IDA) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), each providing 1,428.00 Cr Tk. The Government of Bangladesh (GoB) is investing 1447.89 Cr Tk.

The Dhaka Sanitation Improvement Project (DSIP) engages a diverse range of stakeholders including multilateral institutions such as the World Bank (WB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), providing crucial financial support and expertise. Additionally, local entities such as the Institute of Water Modeling (IWM), the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

1.4 million people of Kalabagan, Mogbazar, Shahbag, Eskaton, Arambag, Paltan, Shahidbag, Motijheel, Rampura, Taltola, Bashaboo, Golapbag, Ahmedbag, Saidabad, Goran, Baganbari, Khilgaon, West Nandipara, Sabujbag, East Nandipara, Natunpara, Rajarbag, Golapbag East and adjoining areas of Dhaka city.
